Re: Remington 870 issues.

The newer Remington 870's from about the past 10 years aren't made so well. More and more plastic. Poor craftsmanship and quality. The Winchester 1200 and 1300, while an improvement over the newer 870's, is still essentially a POST '64 cheapened version of the Winchester model 12. Do yourself a favo...

Re: Mass shooter down

Gotta love how CNN said "armed bystanders GUNNED down"... As though they started the confrontation, or were somehow at fault. It's the use of carefully placed inflammatory words like that, which play to their liberal base. I wish they could just report the news without being so biased.

Looks decent, and the reviews are good. 600 yards= 1,800 feet. Do you really need more distance than that, given the trees and hills on your property?

Now you see why truthful women say size DOES matter ;)

I've found sometimes a larger gun actually can carry more comfortably than a smaller gun. It just all depends. Gotta try stuff out

The fact you're asking, says you must have some doubts with your method, and I think your subconscious is correct. Not at all; I ask questions to create dialogue from which everybody (myself included) can learn from everybody else, often despite that I've already made up my mind. Dialogue is sort o...

I'm not overly concerned whether or not it is taught by anyone, as lowering the hammer manually is still practiced by me. I can understand and appreciate that you are a grown man who has found what works for him. I can also appreciate that I will not change your mind. I ask that you also appreciate...

Re: Condition 0 carry

@HKguy Oh, man. You just said carrying a Glock and a 1911 condition 0 are no different? Go look at a video of a Glock cut away model being cycled, and then do the same for a 1911. You'll see the difference. The Glock is hands down safer, and I'm a 1911 and a Glock guy, so I don't have a dog in the f...

Re: Condition 0 carry

dangerous to boot. Carrying a gun, in and of itself, is dangerous. First, an XD has a Glock style trigger safety, in addition to the grip safety. Second, it has a longer and a heavier trigger pull than a 1911. Hell, even just holstering or reholstering a 1911 in condition 0 is dangerous. But, hey- ...

I've been carrying my 1911 condition 0. With the grip safety, it's mechanically no different from carrying an XD. Anybody else? I'd also be interested in hearing a rational argument against it. Setting aside all they hyper-safety-nazi stuff comparable to carrying unchambered for the illusion of saf...

Guess which one ended up stopping the incident and which one ended up dead? http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/23/us/san-antonio-mall-shooting-2-face-murder-charge-in-death-of-good-samaritan/index.html Of course this is nothing against the dead good guy. Re: Sig Legion

Are you talking about short reach trigger, or short reset trigger? I was specifically talking about the short reach trigger (funny that something like that became standard on the 1911A1 in the 20s), but the short reset trigger would make sense as a standard feature as well. If you're going to go to...

Re: Sig Legion

Nice gun. It comes standard with a ton of features that you got for an excellent price. I think it will be one of your most accurate shooters. You're right about the marketing, and that's the only real downfall to owning the gun, but eventually that will fade, and you'll just be left with a really n...

Re: New Colt DA revolver!

With the large grip, this isn't designed to be a pocket gun. In fact, I can't identify what market this is going after. The full purchase grip isn't pocketable, but the frame and barrel are for pocket guns. I don't get it. Purse gun for a woman with "man hands" https://youtu.be/vik-7MjKDa0

Re: Most Reliable "GI"-type 1911s

I have an Auto Ordnance WWII parkerized mil spec 1911 that I'm quite happy with. I've heard that Auto Ordnance 1911s can have difficulty with hollow points. What is your experience with this? Also, anyone know what the current word on Springfield's titanium firing pins is? Of course a firing pin ta...

Re: Most Reliable "GI"-type 1911s

I have an Auto Ordnance WWII parkerized mil spec 1911 that I'm quite happy with. It really has the look and feel of an original WWII 1911. I added genuine WWII issue grips to complete the look. I know you said you wanted stainless. This is all steel frame and slide, but parkerized. That said, Auto O...

Looking good. I see what you did with that mag pic ;) So for those of us that don't collect HK's, what makes this one special? This gun is not overly rare nor does it have any special provenance. Its an AG date code ('06 vintage) and could darn near pass for new. As Nathan suggested, it's an HK :D T...

Re: Washington legislators propose bill to allow guns in sports stadiums

Washington keeps throwing me curve-balls; it seems they cannot make up their mind if they are for or against the Second Amendment. It will be interesting to see if this gets anywhere. Washington is mostly pro gun. Open carry, concealed carry, SBR's, and suppressors are legal. There's no magazine li...

Washington legislators propose bill to allow guns in sports stadiums

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/12/12/washington-legislators-propose-bill-to-allow-guns-in-sports-stadiums.html It sure seems like it would be easy for a terrorist to overtake the guys with the wind breakers and flashlights at the entrance, go inside a massive stadium, and just start shooting d...
